This article agrees with what I've come to understand: it's not talent that makes you great at something, it's continual adaptation and improvement. What I would add is that it's not just about innovation, it's about using innovations that give you increased feedback on the success rate of each facet of what you do, and how changes in any aspect of your approach affect performance.

This is amazing... in technology, often the defense industry and more recently the gaming industry have pushed the limits. However here we see the kosher food industry pushing the envelope! Labriute produces packaged food with a built-in heater, apparently environmentally friendly, too. No need for a microwave or stove on the go. Insane. I'll bet the IT folks will be eating this up--why leave your desk to go to the microwave when you can heat your food as you program?
